We have on-line classes!
This is how it works - each level consists of 10 lessons. At the end of each lesson you will have an assignment that needs to be submitted before you move on. That is so we are sure you understand each lesson thoroughly. Learning the program and practicing go hand in hand therefore a lesson must be submitted at least once every 2 weeks. If you are serious about learning while having fun come on in and join the class!
Once you have enrolled ( you do not have to sign up as a member to do this!) usually within 48 hours you will receive your user id and password to your lessons
Embird Digitizing Classes
**You must have the Embird Studio plug-in for these classes**
Level 1
This level starts right from the beginning. First you will learn how to open the program. From there you will learn about the design menu, guidelines, importing images, the right panel, how to use the fill stitch, change angles, create shapes, and some of the important elements of making a design usable. When you have completed this level you will have digitized!

Level 2
In level 2 you will work on connections, creating holes in your fills, using the shaping tool, creating outlines and symmetrical designs. Then you move on to digitizing redwork and embossed designs. The manual and carving tools are also covered in this level. Level 1 is recommended for Level 2.

Level 3
This level is the last of the basics. You will learn how to use the column tools, create applique designs, use the freehand and trace tool, make column strips and the different options available using the column and fill tools including gradients, envelopes, and motifs. Levels 1 and 2 are recommended for Level 3.

Level 4
In Level 4 you will go beyond the basics and learn to create your own outlines, fills, and motifs. Digitizing for free standing lace as well as shading and fur is covered in this level. We also have a lesson that covers the difference between digitizing for the home embroiderer and digitizing for commercial logos. Levels 1, 2 and 3 are recommended before enrolling in this class.

Embird Editing Lessons
Level 1
This level starts right from the beginning. First you will learn how to open the program. From there you will learn how to change colours, rotate, mirror, merge, move object positions, change hoops, duplicate, mask, re-size, split and more!
